Parsley Butter Recipe

Parsley Butter is a rich and delicious compound butter subtly flavored with fresh parsley.  It's an excellent condiment for grilled meats, fish, or a chunk of bread—an easy way to elevate your daily meals.  Give it a try!

  • Plastic wrap

Ingredients

  • 113 grams butter (1 stick), softened
  • 25 grams parsley (about 1/4 cup, heaping)
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • salt and ground black pepper, to season

Instructions

  • Combine the softened butter with the chopped parsley, half a teaspoon of lemon juice, salt, and ground black pepper.
  • Mix everything evenly.  Taste and adjust as preferred (by adding salt, pepper, and more lemon juice).
  • Transfer your seasoned butter with parsley on top of a plastic wrap.
  • Roll and form into a log, then tie the ends tightly.
  • Store in the refrigerator for at least thirty minutes or until the log has solidified.
  • Serve your parsley butter with some bread or use it as an ingredient for another dish.

Notes

  • Cook's Tip:  Wrap the parsley on kitchen paper to absorb any excess liquid before chopping them finely.
