Ingredients
- Frozen potstickers - can also refer to gyoza or dumplings, straight out of the freezer, not thawed.
- Oil - canola oil, sunflower, peanut oil, or even olive oil is excellent for frozen dumplings in air fryer.
Use a pastry brush to coat the frozen potstickers very lightly with oil --- it helps make their edges crunchy and gives them a deeper, golden color once cooked.
Preparation
Start preparing air fryer frozen potstickers by preheating your air fryer at 200°C (375°F) for about five minutes.
Take the frozen dumplings from the freezer and lightly brush them with oil.
Once your air fryer is ready, arrange the frozen gyoza in the basket (photo 1).
Make sure to keep some space between each dumpling.
Cook for about three minutes.
Turn all the potstickers to the other side using a tong with silicone (photo 2).
Cook for another two to three minutes.
Transfer your air fryer frozen potstickers into plates and serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
Helpful tips
- Do not skip preheating your air fryer; it makes a noticeable difference in the air-fried frozen dumplings.
- Depending on the size of your air fryer, you might need to cook the frozen potstickers in batches.
- Remember not to thaw your frozen dumplings. Take it out of the freezer only when ready to cook it.
- Make sure you keep some space between each potsticker when you place them in the basket --- it helps in browning them on all sides, especially the crispy edges.
